Each December the clerk-treasurer shall submit to the town council a list of all town employees, showing the respective salary or wage rate of each employee. The town council may use the list in setting the salaries or wages for each employee for the next year. Before December 31st of each year, the town council shall enact an ordinance which sets the salaries or wage rates of all town employees for the next year. (Ord. 830, 1994: Ord. 360 § 2, 1966).
