Chapter 2.12 EMPLOYEES’ VACATIONS AND HOLIDAYS
2.12.060 Holiday pay.
(a) For employees regularly working a five day (Monday to Friday) or five
and one-half day (Monday to Saturday noon) workweek:
(1) The pay of such
employees shall not be diminished because of the holiday time not
worked.
(2) Holiday bonus pay of one hundred dollars will be paid to any
employee regularly working a five day (Monday to Friday) or five and one-half
day (Monday to Saturday noon) workweek who works upon request four hours or more
on the day a holiday is observed, unless such employee elects equalizing time
off in lieu of holiday bonus pay. For work of less than four hours on a day
observed as a holiday, such employee shall receive compensatory time off for
hours worked on the holiday in addition to such employee’s regular rate of
pay for the hours worked.
(b) All other town employees who work four or
more hours on an actual holiday and have not received any other compensation for
the observed holiday shall be paid a bonus of one hundred dollars. (Ord. 1023,
