Leave shall be granted for the purpose of illness or injury, bereavement (funeral leave), jury duty, and short-term military duty. Compensation by the town to employees while on such leaves of absence will be granted for only those categories of leaves and within the limitations specified in this chapter. (Ord. 540 §1, 1975).
