2.28.020 Eligibility.

A. Summer employees and both full-time and part-time temporary employees are not eligible for compensated leaves of absence. Excused time off for such employees without pay may be granted.
B. All regular full-time or part-time permanent employees are qualified for compensated leaves of absence, provided the following further eligibility requirements are met:
1. To be eligible for compensated sick leave, such employee must have completed one calendar month of continuous employment with the town, except for on-the-job injury, in which case eligibility starts with employment date.
2. To be eligible for compensated jury duty, funeral leave or military service leaves, such employee shall be eligible immediately after employment and without any requirement for initial continuous service. (Ord. 540 §2, 1975).
