No person owning, operating or controlling any taxicab within the limits of the town shall charge other than the schedule of rates set forth below. Each licensee shall cause a schedule of rates to be posted and maintained at all times in each taxicab in a conspicuous place in plain view of any adult passenger seated in the rear seat, The schedule of rates chargeable by each licensee shall not exceed:
Forty-five cents for the first one-third mile
Ten cents for each additional one-third mile, to point of destination
Ten cents for each two minutes of waiting time as recorded on the meter. (Ord. 383 § 12, 1966).
