12.03.120 Restoration of the public rights-of way.

When a permittee, or any person acting on its behalf; does work affecting any public rights-of-way, it shall at its own expense, promptly remove any obstructions and restore the public rights-of-way to the same condition or better which existed before the work was undertaken. All restoration work must be approved by the person(s) designated to receive rights-of-way access permits.
Driveways and sidewalks shall be repaired to original specifications. All repairs to gravel or stone berms shall be restored to within six inches of the surface and topped off with material similar to the original surface.
In established lawn areas all repairs shall be restored to within twelve inches of the surface then topped off with a minimum of twelve inches of topsoil restoring all contours. The area shall then be fertilized, seeded and mulched.
If weather or other conditions do not permit the complete restoration required, the permittee shall temporarily restore the affected public rights-of-way. Restoration, whether temporary or final, shall be at the expense of the permittee. Final restoration shall be undertaken and completed when weather or other conditions no longer prevent permanent restoration. (Ord. 949 § 1(part), 2001).
