A permit shall be obtained before beginning construction, alteration or repair of any building or structure, the cost of which exceeds five hundred dollars, using forms furnished by the clerk-treasurer. All permits shall be issued by the clerk-treasurer, and all fees provided for in this chapter shall be paid to the clerk-treasurer. The permits must be posted at a visible location during the construction period. (Ord. 731 § 7, 1987).
