15.04.140 Certificate of occupancy.

No certificate of occupancy for any building or structure erected, altered or repaired after the adoption of the ordinance codified in this chapter shall be issued unless such building or structure was erected, altered or repaired in compliance with the provisions of this chapter. A certificate of occupancy shall be prescribed form obtained by the clerk-treasurer, which must be signed by the owner’s architect/engineer, if applicable, and building contractor, attesting to compliance with this code. In reliance thereon, the building commissioner may sign a certificate of occupancy. (Ord. 731 § 14, 1987).
